The King may have left the building, but his impact on the world of sandwiches lives on. Taste for yourself with this recipe for an Elvis-inspired, peanut butter, banana and bacon sandwich.


  • 4 ripe bananas
  • 8 slices St. Pierre brioche loaf
  • 1 cup Giant Eagle crunchy peanut butter
  • 16 slices Oscar Mayer fully cooked bacon
  • 2 Tbsp. Giant Eagle unsalted butter


   Prep Time: 5 min. • Cook Time: 15 min.

Cut the bananas into ¾ inch thick slices.

Build the sandwiches starting with 1 slice of bread, spread ¼ cup peanut butter, 4 slices bacon, 1 sliced banana, and then a second slice of bread. Repeat 3 more times to make 4 sandwiches total.

Melt the butter on medium heat in a large frying pan and add sandwiches to the pan. Cook for 3 minutes on each side or until the bread is crispy and brown.

Slice down the middle and enjoy!
