You can now find fried chicken, meals for one and meal kits in our prepared food section. Shop them in-store on or on curbside today.

In addition to floor markers and signage inside our supermarkets, we will be posting ground markers and signage outside our stores to remind guests about the importance of social distancing while some wait in line to enter the store.

To ensure availability of popular items including ground beef and on-sale meat items for all guests, we are temporarily limiting the purchase amount of these items to two of each per transaction.

To better serve the needs of our pharmacy patients and guests, the pharmacy will open at 6:00 a.m. on Wednesdays for our patients who are age 60 and older, differently abled or immune-compromised. Until further notice, the new pharmacy hours are:

  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday    8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday    6:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
  • Saturday & Sunday    9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

In our efforts to maintain the highest levels of sanitization throughout our facilities, we have created new and improved safety measures:

  • Occupancy Limits: Giant Eagle is limiting the number of customers in a store at one time to ensure proper social distancing measures are taken. The new maximum occupancy will be posted near all supermarket and GetGo entrances.
  • One-Way Grocery Aisles: One-way directional signage will be added on the floor in each aisle of our supermarkets to indicate the flow of traffic and help guests maintain social distance.
  • Personal Protective Equipment: To ensure the safety of our entire community, Giant Eagle has provided Personal Protective Equipment – masks and gloves – to all Team Members.

Giant Eagle, Market District & GetGo Stores will be closed Sunday, April 12 to allow our valued Team Members to celebrate the holiday with their families and enjoy a well-deserved day of rest.

Starting today, we’re offering health care workers and first responders a dedicated hour of shopping every Thursday and Friday, before stores open to the public. These individuals are selflessly working on the front lines to protect our communities. We’re proud to express our gratitude for their daily sacrifice.

Additionally, GetGo is offering a free cup of coffee or fountain beverage to health care workers and first responders.

Giant Eagle’s top priority is the health and safety of our communities. Effective Sunday, March 29, all Giant Eagle and Market District stores will close at 9 p.m. each evening to allow our Team Members more time to restock and sanitize.

Additionally, as we continue vigilant store sanitization efforts, we recognize that the prevalence of COVID-19 is growing in our communities. Like other essential businesses, Giant Eagle has received confirmation of the first positive COVID-19 tests among our Team Members, and it is likely that in the coming weeks we’ll learn of additional confirmed cases related to Team Members and guests.

To learn more about our sanitation procedures and what we’re doing to protect our community’s health, visit our store cleansing page.

To ensure the health and safety of our guests and Team Members, we are temporarily suspending our refund and return policies. As we work to keep our stores well stocked, we are also temporarily suspending the issuing of rainchecks. All sales are final, so please make your purchases carefully. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding.

We’re continuing to take every precaution to ensure the highest levels of sanitization throughout ourstores. To promote a safer and healthier checkout experience for our guests and Team Members, we’re working around the clock to make the following updates to all Giant Eagle, Market District, and GetGo locations:

  • Installing plexiglass dividers at checkout, Pharmacy, and Customer Service counters.
  • Installing floor indicators and signage at checkout lanes to show appropriate social distance between guests.
  • Asking guests to refrain from bringing reusable bags into stores.
Additionally, all guest purchases will be bagged in either single-use plastic bags or paper bags, both of which will be available at no charge. Thank you for your help in keeping our stores safe and providing peace of mind for fellow guests and Team Members.

To help protect higher-risk members of our community, our supermarkets will open one hour early for those who are age 60 and older, differently-abled or immune-compromised. Beginning Monday, March 23, we will open our doors at 6 a.m., Monday through Wednesday, to provide a comfortable shopping opportunity for these vulnerable guests. While store Team Members will not be checking IDs for age confirmation, we ask that other guests respect this dedicated hour. Team Members will be available to help those who need special accommodations. After the first hour, our supermarkets will be open for all guests between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m.

Additionally, we’d like to make you aware that GetGo has reduced hours at select locations. Some stores in key locations for the community and first responders will remain open 24/7. Check the GetGo store locator for updated hours: GetGo Store Locator.

To serve as many guests as possible, we are temporarily limiting purchase amounts for certain high demand products. Additionally, we are implementing several sanitation measures to our Curbside Pickup & Delivery service. See below for complete details. We appreciate your cooperation as we strive to serve the full community!
